Irene Lusztig (born 1974) is a British-American nonfiction filmmaker and artist. Her body of work explores historical memory, archival materials, communism and post-communism, and feminist historiography. Irene is a first generation American who was born in England, raised in Boston and now lives in New York City. She completed her BA in filmmaking and Chinese Studies from Harvard university. Lusztig went on to complete her MFA in film and video at the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College.

Currently, she is a Professor of Film and Digital Media at UC Santa Cruz.
