Hypatima ephippias is a moth in the family Gelechiidae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1937. It is found in southern India. The wingspan is 11–12 mm. The forewings are grey irrorated (sprinkled) with blackish, irregularly mixed with white suffusion especially towards the costa and with some irregular dark spots on the costa and general dark clouding on the dorsal area. There is a rather broad somewhat oblique saddle-shaped blackish blotch on the middle of the costa reaching the fold, irregularly edged with white. The hindwings are grey, thinly scaled in the disc, the veins suffused dark grey. rdf:langString
