La maison de Sabran est une illustre famille de Provence d'extraction chevaleresque éteinte en 1847 en la personne d'Elzéar-Louis de Sabran, lieutenant-général, pair de France héréditaire en 1815, duc-pair en 1825. Sans enfant de Victorine-Antoinette de Pontevès, il institua comme héritiers les deux neveux de sa femme, Édouard et Léonide de Pontevès-Bargème en faveur desquels une ordonnance royale de 1828 et des lettres patentes de 1829 autorisèrent la transmission du titre de duc de Sabran. Le nom de Sabran est depuis porté dans la famille de Pontevès par adoption en 1832.

The House of Sabran was an illustrious Provençal family of knightly extraction extinguished in 1847 in the person of , general, made a hereditary peer of France in 1815, comte-pair (count-peer) in 1817, and duc-pair (duke-peer) in 1825. Among its members are two Catholic saints, three bishops, and five generals. Because his marriage with Victorine-Antoinette de Pontevès was childless, he named as his heirs the two nephews of his wife: Edouard and Léonide , in whose favor a royal ordinance of 1828, and 1829 letters-patent, authorised the transmission of the title of Duke of Sabran. The name de Sabran has since been carried by the de Pontevès family, through the adoption in 1832.
