Η σημαία της πολιτείας Μον απεικονίζει μια στο κέντρο ενός κόκκινου φόντου. Η σημερινή σημαία εγκρίθηκε από το Χλουτάου της Πολιτείας Μον και εγκρίθηκε επισήμως στις 8 Ιουνίου 2018. Σύμφωνα με ένα τοπικό μύθο, η πόλη του , η οποία ιδρύθηκε από τους Μον, ιδρύθηκε στην τοποθεσία όπου ένα χάμσα αναζήτησε καταφύγιο κατά τη διάρκεια μιας μεγάλης πλημμύρας και ως εκ τούτου υπάρχει το πουλί στη σημαία.

In local legend, the city of Bago, which was founded by the Mon people, was established on the location where a hamsa sought refuge during a massive flood, hence the adoption of the bird on the flag.
