The main road of the village, the A1122, is a Roman road connecting Swaffham and Downham Market. To this extent it is often used by trucks transporting sugarbeet and is used by RAF personnel travelling to the nearby airbase at RAF Marham. Fincham has a single pub, The Swan, and a single church, St. Martin's church. The church was built during the Middle Ages and renovated by the Victorians. The village used to have two churches, though one became derelict and was destroyed by royal bequest. The village, at one time, hosted 5 public houses. The Fincham Memorial Hall has twice suffered damage, once after an illegal rave and again after flooding caused by the cold snap of winter 2010. It holds a monthly car boot sale and with the opposite Old Rectory often hold the village's annual féte. The village green, now planted with a memorial flowerbed, used to be a large pond, but was filled in during the early 20th century. There are two manors of note, Fairswell and Talbot, the latter of which previously hosted an impressive collection of orchids, which have since been given to Kew Botanical Gardens for safekeeping. As of 2013, Fincham has a shop/post office, a pub, a petrol station, a hairdressers and a tree surgeon/log supplier. As of 2015 the shop/post office has now closed, leaving the village with no convenience store. In 2005, the Fincham Chorus was formed by people from Fincham and the surrounding area. To date, they have staged several concerts and performed at one wedding, as well as taking part in the Christmas carol services. To date, they have raised over £10000 for St Martin's Church restoration fund. The village also boasts a Caravan Club Certified Location. In 2009, much of Fincham was designated as a conservation area. “The conservation area in Fincham is largely the built up area to the north and south of the High Street, excluding some of the modern buildings. It extends to Fairswell Manor in the east, and a short distance up Marham Road and down Boughton Road on the east sides. To the west it includes the eastern side of Lynn Road as far as Talbot Cottages and the arboretum to Talbot Manor to the north, and to the south it ends at the track to the south-west of Sycamore House.” Politically, Fincham is in the Wimbotsham with Fincham ward of King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, the Fincham division of Norfolk County Council, and the parliamentary constituency of South West Norfolk, whose MP since 2010 is Liz Truss, the Chief Secretary to the Treasury. Ecclesiastically, it is in the Archdeaconry of Huntingdon and Wisbech of the Church of England Diocese of Ely, and in the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia.
