El Campionat del Món d'esquí nòrdic de 1950 fou la tretzena edició del Campionat del Món d'esquí nòrdic. Es van disputar cinc proves, totes masculines, entre l'1 i el 6 de febrer de 1950 a Lake Placid, Nova York i Rumford, Maine. Aquests foren els primers campionats realitzats després de la fi de la Segona Guerra Mundial i els primers que tenien lloc fora d'Europa. Les proves de salt d'esquí es van disputar a Lake Placid, mentre que les d'esquí de fons, inicialment previstes també a Lake Placid, es van traslladar a Rumford per la manca de neu.

Były to drugie mistrzostwa w Lake Placid, po Zimowych Igrzyskach Olimpijskich 1932. Były to też pierwsze mistrzostwa świata po II wojnie światowej. Po raz drugi mistrzostwa opuściły Europę, po raz pierwszy w nieolimpijskim roku.
