Das Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art (türkisch Proje4L/Elgiz Çağdaş Sanat Müzesi) wurde 2001 von gegründet. Das Museum verfolgt die Vision, Entwicklungen der zeitgenössischen Kunst in der Türkei zu fördern und Projekte junger, türkischer Künstler zu unterstützen. Il museo ha aperto nel 2001, prima istituzione no-profit dedicata all'arte contemporanea in Turchia. Nato sotto il nome di Proje4L-Istanbul Museum of Contemporary Art con lo scopo di promuovere lo sviluppo dell´arte contemporanea in Turchia, l'ente diede subito spazio, supporto e visibilità internazionale ai progetti dei giovani artisti turchi.
