The school motto is "Excellence with Honor and Integrity." As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,033 students and 165.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.3:1. There were 276 students (13.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 88 (4.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch. EBHS is one of the few high schools in the state to only house students in grades 10–12, with 9th graders at the middle school level.
