Students have work placements at Derwen’s Marketplace (in the restaurant, cafe, charity shop, hotel and garden centre). Work placements enable students to learn essential vocational skills for life including customer service, retail and hospitality skills. Derwen Marketplace is open daily. History Derwen College was established in 1927 by Dame Agnes Hunt, who also founded the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopeadic Hospital, in Gobowen, Oswestry.
