The Church of Mary Magdalene of Buda (Hungarian: Mária Magdolna-templom) is one of the oldest churches of the Várkerület District (Buda Castle District). Dedicated to Jesus' follower, Mary Magdalene, it was built between the 13th and 15th centuries in Gothic style. Today only ruins and the tower of the church remains. For centuries, the Church of Mary Magdalene was the forum of the population of Buda District. Then, the church became the site of the coronation of Francis II, Holy Roman Emperor as Hungarian king, and finally as the central church of the garrison of the Buda Castle.

Die Maria-Magdalena-Kirche (ungarisch Mária Magdolna-templom) ist eine ehemalige römisch-katholische Kirche im Burgviertel von Budapest. Sie war der Heiligen Maria Magdalena gewidmet. Die Geschichte der Kirche reicht bis ins Mittelalter zurück. Die Kirche wurde im gotischen Stil errichtet. Sie wurde bei der Belagerung von 1686 zerstört und nach der Befreiung im 17. Jahrhundert im Barockstil wieder aufgebaut. Die Kirche wurde bei der Schlacht um Budapest 1944 stark beschädigt, ihre Ruinen wurden unter der kommunistischen Herrschaft demoliert. Lediglich der hohe Glockenturm blieb erhalten.

De Maria Magdalenakerk in Boedapest is een kerkruïne uit 1274, waarvan de toren er nog staat. Deze kerk stond in de Burcht van Boeda. Dit was in de middeleeuwen de kerk waar de Hongaren uit Boeda naar de kerk gingen; de Duitsers gingen naar de Matthiaskerk. Toen Boeda in de 16e eeuw werd veroverd door de Turken, werd de kerk in 1541 verbouwd tot moskee. Tijdens de verovering van Boedapest door het Rode Leger in 1945 werd de kerk opnieuw erg beschadigd en sindsdien is het een ruïne, op de toren na, want deze is herbouwd.

La chiesa non diventò una moschea fino alla seconda metà dell'occupazione turca, ma fu seriamente danneggiata nel 1686, durante la liberazione di Buda. L'ordine francescano, che poi ne prese possesso, ricostruì la chiesa in stile barocco e aggiunse la torre. Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale fu demolito tutto tranne la torre e il portale, visibili dal giardino, insieme a una finestra ricostruita in stile gotico.
