Chetan Maini (born March 11 1970) is a Co-Founder and Vice Chairman at SUN Mobility and a Indian business magnate in the electric car industry. From July 2013 to April 2015, Chetan was Chief Executive Officer, Chief of Technology and Strategy[2], and Deputy Chairman at Mahindra Reva[3], which he founded as Reva Electric Car Company in 1994. Under his leadership, the company sold 4000 vehicles in 24 countries and was ranked as one of the 50 most innovative companies in the world by Fast Company magazine. Chetan holds over 40 patents in battery and energy management systems in electric vehicle technologies. Over the course of 20 years, Chetan has developed six electric, solar and hybrid-electric cars in India.[4] In 2009, Business Week magazine named him as one of India's "Top 50 Influential people".[4] He was the "Man of the Year" for Top Gear India in the year of 2014. and He was also given the Innovation award in Energy and Environment by The Economist in London [2]
