Cavenagh is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located about 247 kilometres (153 mi) north of the state capital of Adelaide and about 37 kilometres (23 mi) north-east of the municipal seat in Peterborough. Cavenagh ’s boundaries were created on 31 August 2000 for the “local established name” which is derived from the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Cavenagh and which align with those of the hundred.
