The stadium is named for Raymond Vincent Borleske (1887–1957), a legendary Whitman College athlete (class of 1910) and coach. It has served as the home for a variety of professional and amateur teams in both football and baseball. The stadium is part of the Borleske Stadium Complex containing Borleske Stadium, Martin Field, and Memorial Pool. It is the home venue of the Whitman College baseball team and the Walla Walla Sweets of the West Coast League. Following baseball season stadium is transitioned to be the home of Walla Walla High School football. The elevation of the field is approximately 980 feet (300 m) above sea level.
