In the episode, Barnes (Michael Chiklis) loses control of the effects of Alice Tetch's blood and begins to use his powers to target a killer, no matter the cost of those who stand in his way. Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is reinstated as detective and investigates along with Bullock (Donal Logue) the killer, who uses plastic surgery to fake identities.
