The village is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from Kishtwar town on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road. Bhandarkoot is known for Bhandarkoot Ziyarat, a holy shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Zain-ud-din Rishi.
