Basfia is a monotypic genus of bacterium from the Pasteurellaceae family, first described in 2010. Its only species, Basfia succiniciproducens, is a gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, and immobile bacterium. It was first isolated from bovine rumen in 2008.
