The house sits on a rectangular lot, 0.55 acres (0.22 ha), in the Battle Estate Development near the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was renovated in the 1950s and again around 1983 before being rehabilitated in 2016 using Nash's blueprints. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 26, 2017 as a contributing building in the Chapel Hill Historic District created 1973.
