Aradhana Misra (born 20 April 1974), also known as Mona Misra, is an Indian politician and member of 18th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh representing Rampur Khas of Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh as a member of Indian National Congress. Aradhana Misra (born 20 April 1974), also known as Mona Misra, is an Indian politician and member of 18th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh representing Rampur Khas of Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh as a member of Indian National Congress. She is the daughter of senior Congress leader and Member of Rajya Sabha Pramod Tiwari. She is a Business Management professional with over 25 years of extensive experience, at present serving as a Director of Ambalika Group and running a NGO called Saryu Samaj Kalyan Sansthan. She was serving as the CLP leader in the Vidhan Sabha of U.P. She has been an active social worker for over 25 years and has done considerable work in rural belt of the Pratapgarh district of U.P. She was drawn to social work early in her life under the inspiring guidance of her father, Pramod Tiwari who was a lawmaker in the U.P.-state assembly for a record nine terms and also a member of the upper house (Rajya Sabha) of the Indian Parliament. He is currently a special invitee to the CWC, the highest decision-making body of the Congress. Her selfless social work has been recognized by the people of Pratapgarh, as reflected in the fact that she has won three straight terms to the state assembly of U.P., India's most populous and politically most crucial state. Her victory has hit national and international headlines because even as her political alma mater did not make it big, she scored a perfect hattrick in her assembly constituency. In recognition of her exemplary work in uplifting the weaker, marginalized and the oppressed sections of society and women empowerment, she was appointed on the Board of Directors of Punjab National Bank, which she resigned after her election to Vidhan Sabha. Her social work over last 20 years has been lauded at various national and international forums. She has been awarded many times for her contribution to society by way of her commitment to social causes by the Governor of U.P., Central Ministers, President of Mauritius and many other recognized bodies.
