Andrew Bishop (born 7 August 1985) is a former Welsh international rugby union player who played for the Ospreys at Centre. He was a stalwart of the Wales Under 21 Grand Slam victory in 2005. In May 2008 he was selected for the Wales' squad for the 2008 Tour of South Africa, making his debut as a substitute in the 2nd test on 14 June. Wales lost 37–21. He kept his place in the squad throughout the 2008–09 season and on 14 November, he made his first start against Canada. Wales won 34–13. He came on as a replacement in the 18th minute for Jamie Roberts in the match against the Wallabies. Critics thought this would affect Wales but Bishop held his own as Wales won 21–18, the only win that for Northern Hemisphere against one of The Big Three. Andrew Bishop (* 7. August 1985 in Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Glamorgan) ist ein ehemaliger walisischer Rugby-Union-Spieler, der auf der Position des Innendreiviertels für die Ospreys und für die walisische Nationalmannschaft spielte. Bishop stieß im Jahr 2005 zu den Ospreys und gab im Februar des Jahres sein Debüt in der Magners League gegen die Border Reivers. Zuvor hatte er für , Neath und gespielt. In der Saison 2006/07 wurde er zum Stammspieler bei den Ospreys und kam zu insgesamt 30 Einsätzen in jener Spielzeit. Dabei gelang ihm unter anderem ein Versuch im Finale des Anglo-Welsh Cup. 2010 und 2012 gewann er mit den Ospreys den Meistertitel in der Pro12. Bishop durchlief die Jugendnationalmannschaften des Landes und gehörte der U21-Auswahl an, die 2005 bei den Six Nations dieser Altersklasse den Grand Slam gewinnen konnte. Sein erstes Länderspiel für die Herrenauswahl bestritt er im Juni 2008 gegen Südafrika. Im Juni 2012 lief er letztmals für die Nationalmannschaft auf, Gegner waren die Barbarians. Er spielte drei weitere Jahre für die Ospreys, bevor er aufgrund einer Bandscheibenverletzung seine Karriere beenden musste.

Bishop then started against United States. Wales won 48–15. On 18 January 2010 he was named in the 35 man Wales national Squad for the 2010 Six Nations tournament. He was on the bench for every game, only coming on against Ireland. On 8 October Bishop was forced to retire because of a recurring back injury.
