The 2022 Arizona elections were held in the state of Arizona on November 8, 2022, coinciding with the nationwide general election. All six executive offices were up for election, as well as a U.S. Senate seat, all of the state's U.S. House of Representatives seats, and the state legislature. In recent years, Arizona's status as a Republican stronghold has significantly weakened; since 2018, Democratic candidates have made substantial gains in the state's legislature, congressional delegation, and statewide executive offices. Going into the 2022 midterm elections, Arizona was considered a crucial swing state. Primary elections in Arizona took place on August 2. The November general election had mixed results for both parties. The Republican Party picked up two of the five Democratic-held seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, the office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, and an additional seat on the Arizona Corporation Commission, while the Democrats held on to the state's Class 3 U.S. Senate seat, flipped the governorship, and may additionally flip the Attorney General's office (pending a recount).
