2019 Chicago Bears season

The 2019 season was the Chicago Bears' 100th in the National Football League (NFL) and their second under head coach Matt Nagy. The season was branded as "Bears100" to celebrate the franchise's centennial, which included a commemorative patch on jerseys and a new throwback uniform. rdf:langString

rdf:langString The 2019 season was the Chicago Bears' 100th in the National Football League (NFL) and their second under head coach Matt Nagy. The season was branded as "Bears100" to celebrate the franchise's centennial, which included a commemorative patch on jerseys and a new throwback uniform. Despite a 3–1 start, the Bears embarked on a four-game losing streak. After losing to the Philadelphia Eagles to fall to 3–5, they rebounded by winning four of their next five but were unable to improve upon their 12–4 record from 2018. A Week 15 loss to the Green Bay Packers coupled with the Minnesota Vikings beating the Los Angeles Chargers later that day eliminated them from playoff contention. Chicago ended the season with an 8–8 record and third in the NFC North. The offense struggled throughout the year, while the defense continued to rank in the top ten in multiple categories; the Bears were the only team to not make the playoffs despite being in the top five in fewest points allowed per game.
