Indiana has 11 electoral votes in the Electoral College. Trump won the state with 56.47% of the vote, while Clinton received 37.46%. Indiana is the home state of Pence, which was believed to have provided important assistance to the Trump campaign in what already would have been a Republican-leaning state. This is the first presidential election since 1996 where Indiana voted to the right of Texas.
