Der 1. Leichtathletik-Continentalcup (offizielle Bezeichnung IAAF/VTB Bank Continental Cup) fand am 4. und 5. September 2010 in der kroatischen Stadt Split statt. Die insgesamt 40 Leichtathletik-Wettbewerbe wurden im Stadion Poljud ausgetragen. Ursprünglich war die Veranstaltung als 11. Originally scheduled as the 11th IAAF World Cup in Athletics, it was renamed in 2008 when the IAAF revamped the competition format. It was held in Split, Croatia on 4–5 September 2010. The competition mascot was an anthropomorphic white seagull with a blue hat and scarf, named Marino. Designed by children from the Juraj Bonači educational centre, the mascot builds on the fact that Split is a coastal city.

Хорватская прыгунья в высоту Бланка Влашич перед родными трибунами установила новый рекорд соревнований 2,05 м и предприняла попытку побить мировой рекорд. Три попытки на высоте 2,10 м оказались неудачными. Ольга Рыпакова из Казахстана установила новый рекорд Азии в тройном прыжке — 15,25 м. Этот результат стал 13-м за всю историю данного вида лёгкой атлетики, дальше Рыпаковой прыгали только 6 женщин.
