The 2004 African Men's Handball Championship was the 16th edition of the African Men's Handball Championship, held in Cairo, Egypt, from 8 to 18 April 2004. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2005 World Championship in Tunisia. Egypt win their fourth title beating Tunisia in the final game 31–28.

Odbył się w dniach 8–17 kwietnia 2004 roku w Egipcie. Tytułu zdobytego w 2002 roku broniła reprezentacja Tunezji. Tytuł mistrzowski odzyskała reprezentacja Egiptu i wraz z trzema najlepszymi drużynami, prócz Tunezji, która jako gospodarz miała już zapewniony awans, zakwalifikowała się na MŚ 2005.
