The 1983 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final, also known as the Game of Shame (Irish: An Cluiche Náireach), was the 96th All-Ireland Final and the deciding match of the 1983 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, an inter-county Gaelic football tournament for the top teams in Ireland. Four players (three representing Dublin, one representing Galway) were sent off, earning the Dublin team the epithet "The Dirty Dozen". The game was marred by scenes of thuggery and ugliness. Galway had also lost to Dublin in their previous All-Ireland football final appearance in 1974. Earlier in the game, Barney Rock had scored an 11th-minute goal, but all was overshadowed by what followed.
