General elections were held in Venezuela on 7 December 1958. The presidential elections were won by Rómulo Betancourt of Democratic Action, who received 49.2% of the vote, whilst his party won 73 of the 132 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 32 of the 51 seats in the Senate. Voter turnout was 93.4% in the presidential election and 92.1% in the Congressional elections. The Soviet Union covertly supported Wolfgang Larrazábal in the elections.

Las elecciones generales de Venezuela de 1958 se celebraron el domingo 7 de diciembre de 1958 como las segundas elecciones libres para la elección del Presidente de la República en Venezuela, siendo también las primeras después del gobierno militar del General Marcos Pérez Jiménez, que había interrumpido el breve ensayo democrático venezolano que duró apenas 9 meses con el gobierno de Rómulo Gallegos en 1947. Rómulo Betancourt, abanderado del izquierdista revolucionario Acción Democrática, resultó elegido.

Del mismo modo, se realizaron en conjunto con las elecciones parlamentarias, tanto de ámbito federal como en ámbito local, en las cuales se designaron los nuevos miembros del Congreso de la República de Venezuela y los miembros de las Asambleas Legislativas estadales y de los Concejos municipales. Por ende, ese día se eligió un jefe de gobierno, 132 diputados elegidos directamente, 51 senadores elegidos indirectamente, y miembros de los cuerpos deliberantes estadales y locales elegidos indirectamente.
